I create beauty in structure, the soul of the dwelling animated by natural light. My projects define expansive views through articulated tracery of finely crafted wood and metal framing. Hammered-copper lighting, fine grained woods and soft colored plaster finishes offer expressions of serenity and graceful space.

     Inspired by indigenous building techniques of Japan, the transparency and openness of the shelter present an austere type of luxury.

     These are ennobling and inspiring places to live and work. I believe every design I do must have a life or soul to it. It must possess a natural beauty which expresses serenity, harmony, and a connection to nature. It must reflect the client, and provide greater understanding of nature through form, texture and space.

     I begin with an idea which embodies the hopes and aspirations of the client. I use conventional materials in expressive ways. Like a view of the lake through a flowering branch. Reflecting delicate flowers to the bright blue horizon.
